What a Telegram report bot can file, and what it only sells

Short answer. A Telegram report bot is one of three things: a group moderation bot that forwards /report flags to admins, an official intake bot that Telegram runs, such as @EURegulation or @NoToScam, or a paid storefront that claims to mass-report Instagram, TikTok or Telegram targets. Only the first two do what they say. Telegram's Bot API has no method for filing a report, so a paid report bot sells volume that moderators do not count.

Most people who search the phrase want the third kind. A channel is reposting their photos, a group is running a scam under their name, or an Instagram account keeps spamming their customers, and a bot that promises a ban for a few dollars looks faster than a form. Sellers know that. Their listings repeat every phrasing a buyer might type, from "Telegram mass reporter" to "channel takedown service", and the listings lead back to the same small set of bots.

This guide separates the three meanings of Telegram report bot and checks each one against Telegram's own documentation as it read on 9 October 2026. It then sets out the reports that do remove a channel, a group or an account, what to do if you already paid a seller, and what to do if a report bot was pointed at you.

What is a Telegram report bot? Three things share the name

A Telegram report bot can be a moderation bot that lets group members flag messages to the group's admins, an official bot that Telegram runs to receive specific complaints, or a third-party bot that sells report volume against other people's accounts. The first two are documented and free. The third has no documented way to file anything, and it is the one sold as a service.

Banner reading One name, three bots: three Telegram report bot routes, one passes the gate, one turns off, one stays dotted
Only the official intake route crosses into Telegram's own review. The group moderation bot turns off to an admin chat, and the paid storefront never reaches the gate.

The top search result for the phrase is the first kind. MasterGroosha's open-source telegram-report-bot on GitHub, described by its author as a simple bot to handle reports from users in a chat, had 137 stars and 33 forks when we read it on 9 October 2026. A member replies to a message with /report, the bot copies that message into a separate admin group, and the admins choose an action such as delete or ban.

That moderation bot never contacts Telegram. Its README says so directly: content that breaks Telegram's rules still goes through the app's own Report button. The bot needs admin rights in the group with permission to delete messages, and it only works on groups its owner already runs.

Kind of botWho runs itWhat it filesWhere the report landsCost
Group moderation bot (open-source /report bots)The group's own adminsA flag on one message inside the groupA private admin chat, never TelegramFree, self-hosted

Paid mass-report botAn anonymous sellerNothing documented; the seller claims "reports" against a targetUnknown; Telegram, Meta and TikTok do not decide on report countsCredits, Stars or crypto

The official intake bots are the only Telegram report bot type whose messages reach Telegram's moderators, and they are where most people's real problem belongs. @NoToScam takes reports from people whose identity a scammer is using, @SearchReport takes problematic search terms, and @EURegulation is Telegram's single point of contact for users under the EU Digital Services Act. @SpamBot, often listed as a reporting bot, is something else: Telegram describes it as a bot that helps limited accounts regain full functionality, and it takes no reports about anyone else.

Can a Telegram report bot actually file a report?

No. A bot built on Telegram's Bot API cannot report a user, a group or a channel to Telegram, and it cannot report anything on Instagram or TikTok either. Bot API 10.3, published on 24 August 2026, contains no reporting method. Reports to Telegram are filed by user accounts through the app's Report flow, so a paid Telegram report bot is a payment front end for something else.

Banner reading A storefront, not a reporter: a solid run stops dead at an empty aperture while a dotted run passes beneath it
Bot API 10.3 lists no reporting method, so anything a paid bot does after checkout runs through user accounts the buyer never sees.

The word "report" appears in the Bot API in one functional place: an administrator right called can_manage_chat, which lets an admin of a chat report spam messages inside that chat. The right only covers a chat the bot already administers. A bot cannot make itself an admin of a stranger's channel, and admin rights in your own group do nothing to anyone else's.

Behind a seller's /start menu there are two possibilities. Either the seller runs a pool of ordinary user accounts, often bought in bulk as session files, and pushes reports through unofficial clients, or nothing is sent at all. Telegram's developer documentation says clients built on its API are automatically put under observation, and that accounts using the API for flooding or spam are banned permanently.

That is the honest description of Telegram mass report bot software: a script that drives throwaway user accounts, sold through a bot because a bot can take payment and hide the operator. The sending accounts get limited, the seller buys more, and the target is judged on what it posted, the same as if one person had reported it once.

Telegram's moderation page counts 27,325,711 groups and channels blocked in 2026, including 440,679 related to child abuse material and 182,986 terrorist communities, using user reports combined with machine-learning monitoring.Telegram, telegram.org/moderation, read 9 October 2026

Telegram's own API shows what heavy reporting produces on its own. A channel object can carry a fake flag, which Telegram's documentation defines as a channel reported by many users as a fake or scam. That flag puts a warning label on the channel for every viewer. The label is a caution to readers, not a removal, and removal still depends on what a reviewer finds.

Instagram spam report bot Telegram listings: what is on sale

An Instagram spam report bot Telegram listing sells repeated spam reports against one Instagram account, usually priced per target. Instagram's help centre says the number of times something is reported does not determine whether it is removed. A clean account survives the wave, and an account that does break the rules can be reported once, accurately, for free.

Meta has dealt with the paid version before. Its December 2021 Adversarial Threat Report described a network in Vietnam that filed hundreds, sometimes thousands, of complaints against its targets, and some of the network's accounts openly offered to delete other people's Facebook accounts as a paid service. Meta's answer was to remove the network that did the reporting. A Telegram report bot aimed at Instagram has no better access: it sends the same in-app reports any user can send, only from more accounts.

The same evidence rule runs across Meta's apps. Filing a report against a Facebook account on what it posted carries more weight than any count, and paid Facebook ban offers sell the same story as the Instagram listings. Where the account is pretending to be you, a Facebook impersonation report asks for ID and reaches a reviewer directly. Our separate breakdown of Instagram spam report bots covers the Instagram side in more depth.

Is a GitHub or Telegram Instagram mass report bot safe to run?

A GitHub or Telegram Instagram mass report bot is a common malware lure, and running one hands your own accounts to whoever wrote it. An Instagram spam report bot Telegram download needs a logged-in account to send reports from, so it asks for your Instagram password or session cookie, and that login is usually the thing being collected.

Kaspersky's GitVenom investigation found more than 200 fake GitHub repositories whose decoys included an Instagram automation tool and a Telegram bot for managing Bitcoin wallets. None of the advertised functions worked; the code installed remote-access trojans, information stealers and clipboard hijackers, and one victim lost about 5 BTC, roughly $485,000 at the time.Kaspersky, GitVenom campaign report, February 2025

TikTok report bot Telegram sellers and the free online versions

A TikTok report bot Telegram seller offers the same product as an Instagram spam report bot Telegram listing: report volume against a TikTok account, sold through a Telegram bot. TikTok reviews reported content against its Community Guidelines, and its terms bar reports that are clearly unfounded. A wave of false reports exposes the accounts that sent it and leaves a compliant target where it was.

A search for a TikTok mass report bot online free Telegram link tends to end in one of two places: a web page that wants your TikTok login "to send reports from", or a bot that asks you to complete offers or invite friends before it starts. In both cases the price is your account or your data. Our TikTok report bot analysis walks through what those scripts send, and the same free-tool bait circulates around games, where the rules for getting someone banned on Roblox follow the same evidence test.

If a TikTok account is posting your video, a TikTok copyright report goes to a legal team and removes the specific upload. For other violations, the realistic options to get someone's TikTok banned and the reports TikTok acts on are covered in their own guides.

Telegram account, channel, group & bot ban services explained

Telegram account, channel, group & bot ban services are one product under several names: a seller who promises that a target will be banned once enough reports land. Telegram documents the reporting routes it reads, and none of them weighs volume. The only thing a ban service can honestly offer is filing the right report with evidence, which the person harmed can also do for free.

Whatever a listing calls itself, the report that reaches review is the single documented one; extra copies arrive as noise or not at all.

Buyers who buy Telegram channel mass report packages usually pay per channel, with price tiers by "report count". Report count is the one input Telegram's moderation page does not list: it describes user reports and proactive machine-learning monitoring, and the documented visible effect of many fake-or-scam reports is the warning label described above.

Attempts to mass report Telegram group chats meet the same limit. A group that posts nothing illegal and does not scam its members gives a moderator nothing to act on, however many accounts flag it, while a group that does break the rules can be removed after one well-documented report. Scam groups have their own route through @NoToScam and the in-app scam report, set out in our guide to reporting a scam on Telegram. We have also compared what a content removal service files against what mass-report bots send, platform by platform.

The seller is the scam risk. A Telegram channel takedown service that asks for payment up front, guarantees a ban, quotes a report count, or asks for your own login is selling something it cannot deliver. Telegram's terms already forbid using the service to spam or scam users.

Paid a Telegram ban bot already? Where the money went

Money paid to a Telegram ban bot can only be disputed inside Telegram when it went through Telegram Stars. Telegram's developer terms require bots selling digital goods to accept Stars, answer a /paysupport command, and refund purchases they fail to deliver. Developers who ignore legitimate disputes can lose the bot and receive a public SCAM label. Crypto transfers and gift cards sent to a seller have no Telegram dispute route.

Banner reading One rail with a return path: a solid run crosses the gate and turns back, while a dotted run meets no aperture
A Stars purchase leaves a /paysupport request and a transaction ID that Telegram can review; a wallet transfer leaves nothing for either side to reopen.

Telegram's Stars terms state that all sales of Stars themselves are final. A purchase from a bot is different: when a bot fails to deliver what it advertised within the agreed time, the developer can refund the Stars at no penalty, and the buyer has a documented route if the developer refuses.

  1. Send /paysupport to the bot

Bots that take Stars must respond to /paysupport and handle payment problems in a timely way. Ask for a refund of the specific purchase and screenshot the reply, or the silence.

  2. Find the transaction ID

Open Settings, then Your Stars, and copy the ID of the payment made to that bot.

  3. Report the refusal to Telegram

If the developer refuses a legitimate refund, Telegram's Stars terms point to a report form for that transaction. Under the developer terms, penalties for the bot owner include debited Stars, removal of the bot from the platform, a SCAM label and termination of the owner's account.

  4. Report the bot itself

Use the in-app report on the seller's Telegram report bot and on any channel advertising it. A storefront that took money for reports it cannot file is the kind of listing Telegram's terms prohibit.

Crypto has no undo. A seller who asks for USDT, TON or Bitcoin instead of Stars has chosen the one payment path without a dispute process, and Telegram cannot reverse a wallet transfer. If the crypto was bought by card shortly before, ask your bank about that card payment, and report the loss to your national fraud reporting service.

Which reports actually remove a Telegram channel or group?

Four routes remove content on Telegram: the in-app Report button on a public post, group or channel; @NoToScam for impersonation and scams; [email protected] for copyright in public channels, bots and sticker sets; and, inside the EU, a Digital Services Act notice. Each route works on evidence of a specific violation. None of them asks how many people agree.

Banner reading One notice, one review: a solid run passes the gate after a second joins it, while a dotted run stops short
A notice carrying a name, contact details and a legal explanation is reviewed; repeated unfounded notices can be suspended before they are read.

The form to report illegal content under the EU Digital Services Act Telegram publishes at telegram.org/dsa-report asks for your name, your contact details and a clear and convincing explanation of why the content is illegal. Notices without enough information can be dismissed. Telegram also states that it may suspend processing of notices from people who repeatedly send manifestly unfounded, fraudulent or misleading reports, so a DSA notice campaign hurts the sender first.

Telegram reports significantly fewer than 45 million average monthly active recipients in the EU over the six months to August 2026, below the threshold for a very large online platform.Telegram, User guidance for the EU Digital Services Act, read 9 October 2026

That figure keeps Telegram outside the European Commission's direct DSA supervision. Because Telegram named its DSA legal representative in Belgium, the Belgian regulator BIPT supervises it, and BIPT's 2024 DSA annual report records Telegram removing 549 pieces of terrorist content that year under the EU's terrorist content regulation. A complaint to BIPT is the escalation step when Telegram ignores a valid notice; BIPT enforces process duties and does not moderate posts itself.

The right route also depends on what the channel is doing. A channel that phishes for logins usually sends people to a website, and that site comes down through its host and registrar, covered in our phishing takedown guide. Leaked private images or files reposted in channels have faster routes of their own, described under removing leaked content. False statements about a person fall under online defamation removal, which needs a higher standard of proof, and copyrighted material follows the dmca@ route set out in our Telegram copyright guide.

What does a legitimate Telegram removal service do?

A legitimate Telegram removal service reads the target content, matches it to a Telegram rule or a law, and files one documented report through the route that rule belongs to. It says in advance which items are out of reach, such as private groups that no member will report, and it never sells report counts. The product is evidence and follow-up, never volume.

In practice that means screenshots with visible usernames and t.me links, dates, proof of ownership for copyright, ID for impersonation, and a written legal explanation for a DSA notice. The same method moves a LinkedIn account takedown, a DMCA notice on X and an impersonation report on X: name the rule, attach the proof, file once, then follow up. Our content removal casework runs the same way.

Some outcomes stay out of reach for anyone. Telegram does not remove lawful criticism, a banned channel's owner can open a new one, and a private group whose members never report it is invisible to moderators. A service that promises otherwise is selling the same thing as the bot, with a nicer landing page.

What if a Telegram report bot was aimed at your account?

If a Telegram report bot targeted your account or channel, the reports alone do not decide the outcome, because Telegram reviews content rather than counting flags. If your account was limited anyway, @SpamBot is Telegram's official bot for limited accounts and shows whether a restriction applies. A banned phone number is appealed through [email protected], and EU users can raise a mistaken restriction with @EURegulation, Telegram's DSA contact point.

Telegram's DSA guidance commits that if a restriction was a mistake, Telegram will lift or update it and inform the user. Keep a record while the campaign is live: screenshots of the seller's advert naming your channel, threats sent to you, and the dates your limits started. An advert offering to ban a named channel is evidence of a coordinated campaign, and it belongs in the appeal. Our guide to a Telegram account hit by a mass report wave covers the appeal steps in detail.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official Telegram report bot?

Telegram runs intake bots for specific complaints: @EURegulation for EU Digital Services Act matters, @NoToScam for scams and impersonation, and @SearchReport for problematic search terms. @SpamBot is often called a report bot, but Telegram describes it as a bot that helps limited accounts regain full functionality.

Do Telegram mass report bots work?

No documented mechanism lets them work. Telegram's Bot API has no reporting method, Telegram moderates through user reports and machine-learning review rather than report counts, and accounts used to flood the API are banned. Paying buys reports from throwaway accounts at best and nothing at worst.

Can I get my money back from a Telegram report bot?

Only if you paid in Telegram Stars. Send /paysupport to the bot, then copy the transaction ID from Settings and Your Stars and report the refusal to Telegram if the developer will not refund. Crypto and gift-card payments have no Telegram dispute route.

How do you get a Telegram channel removed legitimately?

Report the specific violating posts with the in-app Report button, use @NoToScam for scams or impersonation, email [email protected] for copyright, and inside the EU file a notice at telegram.org/dsa-report with your name, contact details and an explanation of why the content is illegal.

Does an Instagram spam report bot Telegram service get accounts banned?

Not through volume. Instagram says the number of times something is reported does not determine whether it is removed, and Meta has removed networks that mass-reported accounts for pay. An account that breaks the rules can be reported once, accurately, through the app.

Is it against the rules to use a mass report service?

Yes. Telegram's terms forbid using the service to spam or scam users, and Telegram may suspend notices from people who repeatedly file unfounded ones. Whether a campaign is also illegal depends on the country and on whether it forms part of harassment or fraud. This is not legal advice.

Which report bot should I add to my own Telegram group?

A moderation bot with a /report command, such as the open-source telegram-report-bot on GitHub, routes members' flags to a private admin chat. It needs admin rights with permission to delete messages, and it never contacts Telegram, so illegal content still needs the in-app Report button.

A Telegram channel or group still up after you reported it?

Send the t.me links, what the channel or group posts and any replies from Telegram. The review sets out which route can reach it, what evidence that route needs, and what stays out of reach.
